Tatyasaheb Kore Military Academy is the only state government recognized sainik school in Kolhapur district, established in the year 1997.
This is a premier institution run by Shree Warana Vibhag Shikshan Mandal, Warananagar under the effective leadership of Hon’ble President, SWVSM Dr. Vinayraoji Kore (Savkar) and the able guidance of Administrative officer, SWVSM Hon’ble Dr. Sou. Vasanti Rasam madam as well as commandant TKMA, Major Kulthe C. V. and Principal TKMA,

The campus of the academy is of 60 + acres which includes Military School, Jr. College building, hostel building, Mess, staff Quarters, Hockey, Basketball, Volleyball grounds and Horse stable.
The main aim of the academy is to enable the students to qualify the exam to enroll primarily in National Defence Academy, which is conducted by the UPSC as well as to enroll them into engineering services of the Indian Army and the Indian Navy after passing 10 + 2 (Science) exam, and also to avail an opportunity to join AFMC through NEET exam and other.
The academy has classes from V to XII and the medium of instruction is semi english for V to X with state board curriculum and XI and XII is science stream with subject English Civil sectors. The intention is to develop leadership skill among the cadets to empower them to become responsible citizens of India in the 21st Century.
